Slightly Tuesday is the portfolio website of aspiring graphic designer/illustrator Kyla Covert.I am currently 21 years old and recently graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design & Digital Media. I am currently interning at Neal Advertising, am excited to begin my design career!
I have been drawing since I was little, and aspired to become an artist when I grew up (the proof is in my fifth grade yearbook!). I draw my inspiration from life; everything seems inspires me in some form or another, and I am always carrying a sketchbook around with me to keep my ideas organized. My grandparents are both painters and my father is an architect, and they have also inspired and encouraged me to be where I am today.
My illustrations take on a whimsical, highly stylized look, and reflects my love for all things pretty. It took many years and trials to find my illustration "voice", but it speaks strongly to who I am. My designs are also usually very clean and stylized, though I adapt them to the project at hand.
